This page establishes a code of conduct that governs the behavior of users, contributors, and administrators within the Mippedia English environment. This code of conduct aims to create a collaborative space that is respectful, productive, and focused on the development of the encyclopedia.

The code of conduct applies to all interactions that occur within Mippedia English, including article editing, discussions, and communication between users.

General Principles

All users of Mippedia English are expected to act in good faith, respect each other, and uphold the shared goal of building an encyclopedia. Differences of opinion are natural, but must be expressed in a civilized manner and based on content, not personal issues.

Mutual Respect

Users are expected to :

  • respect other users regardless of background,
  • avoid personal attacks, insults, or demeaning,
  • refrain from bullying, intimidation, or harassment. Discussions should focus on the content and improvement of articles, not individuals.

Good Faith

Every contribution and interaction on Mippedia English is assumed to be made in good faith, unless proven otherwise. Users are expected to :

  • be open to correction,
  • not be overly defensive,
  • be willing to discuss rationally.

Appropriate Communication

In written communication :

  • Use polite and clear language,
  • Avoid harsh or provocative language,
  • Avoid belittling or patronizing language. Humor and a casual style are permitted as long as they do not harm others.

Focus on Content

The primary purpose of Mippedia English is article development. Therefore :

  • Personal conflicts should not be brought into editing,
  • Editing should not be used as a means of retaliation,
  • Discussions should be directed towards improving the quality of content.

Conflict and Disagreements

In the event of a disagreement :

  • Prioritize source-based discussion,
  • Avoid escalating conflict,
  • Use available mechanisms to reach a consensus. Editorial decisions may be made to maintain the smooth running of the encyclopedia.

Abuse

The following behaviors are considered violations of the code of ethics :

  • Vandalism
  • Intentional manipulation of content,
  • Misuse of accounts or identities,
  • Repeated disruption of the editing process.

Violations may be subject to action in accordance with applicable policies.
