Mippedia Community is a community organization founded on December 6, 2025, by Rumi Haitami, serving as the parent organization for all Mippedia projects and their derivative projects.[1]
History
The Mippedia Community was initiated by Rumi Haitami in response to the need for a modern, integrated, yet flexible information reference platform. With a background as a musician, Rumi Haitami designed this community to be a platform for knowledge enthusiasts who wish to contribute information without being bound by the formalities of a physical organization.
Since its inception, it has been emphasized that the community acts solely as a manager and maintainer. This is done to keep the project adaptive to digital technology developments without the burden of traditional bureaucracy.
Characteristics
The Mippedia Community possesses unique characteristics that distinguish it from other knowledge site operators:
- Pure Digital Existence: The community has no physical address, holds no face-to-face meetings, and has no real-world bureaucratic structure. All interactions take place via the internet network.
- Collaborative Scalability: Site management is carried out in a decentralized manner by volunteers connected through the MediaWiki platform.
- Maintenance Focus: The community's primary responsibilities are limited to server maintenance, article moderation, and feature development on the mippedia.org and mippediacommunity.site domains.
Managed Projects
The Mippedia Community oversees several project units within its digital ecosystem:
The main unit functioning as a general encyclopedia with in-depth and comprehensive articles specifically in the Indonesian language.
An international project designed to reach a global audience with standard English language standards.
An optimized version presenting articles in a shorter, more concise, and essential format for quick information access in Indonesian.
An integrated search service infrastructure and navigation hub connecting all Mippedia projects through a single gateway.
A structured database serving as a structured data repository to complement and be used by all articles across all Mippedia encyclopedia projects.
A freely licensed media repository available for use by anyone worldwide.
